Hydraulic switch for vehicle drive with two hydraulic motors

The hydro motors (14,15) are connected with a pump installation via a motor transmission line (4,5) serving as a feed conduit and a return conduit. The hydro motors are operable in series or parallel via a switch valve. A pressure compensating line (27) continues on from a connection line for when the two pumps are operating in series. A pressure sensor (32) measures the return pressure, and the switch valve switches from series to parallel operation when the return pressure exceeds a pre-specified value. The pressure compensating line opens so as to carry off return-side pressurised fluid. A barrier member (30) blocks the pressure compensating line in the direction of offtake when in parallel operation if the return pressure is less than the pre-specified value.
