1284541 Measuring pressure electrically J FAIRHURST and J C E J FAIRHURST 14 Nov 1969 [11 Sept 1968] 43185/68 Heading G1N [Also in Division H1] A pressure sensitive transducer, which is to be unaffected by temperature variation, comprises a pair of transistors TR1, TR2, mounted on a common thermally conductive mounting 2, enclosed by a cap 3 with a diaphragm 4, the diaphragm having a stylus 6 pressing on the emitter of transistor TR2. In a circuit arrangement the transistors are mounted in common emitter configuration, the collector of TR1 being connected via resistors to the base of TR2 the output being taken across TR2 emitter to collector. This arrangement is said to compensate for ambient temperature variation and may be used to preasure the blood pressure in an artery. |
