A dynamo case 4 which is made of iron and designed to serve as a rotor of the hub dynamo is mounted on a flange 3 such that bearings 5 are firmly held between the flange 3 and the case 4. A sleeve 9 which is integral with a shaft is provided with stationary coils 14 of a stator and is secured in the bearings 5 so that it is rotatably coupled with the rotor. Firmly mounted on the inner surface of the iron dynamo case 4 are magnets 24 facing the coils 14. The dynamo case 4 also serves as yokes for magnetic circuits generated by the magnets 24. The invention provides a hub dynamo having less elements and better sealability than conventional ones and an improved arrangement which prevent dropping of the bearings during assembly, so that the invention is suited for manufacturing economical yet durable hub dynamos. <IMAGE> |
