The present invention, being conceptually inspired by the method of load testing of walls known as "flat jacks", proposes to modify it into a different system, bringing noteworthy improvements in the functioning of the test methodology itself. The field of application of the testing is the carrying-out of a specific diagnostic programme for masonry buildings in the context of a consolidation and restoration project. The invention includes the creation of a new investigative methodology of deterministic type for defining the mechanical characteristics of the masonry, making it possible to work with the masonry under isostatic conditions, isolating it from its support. In particular, the new test methodology, consisting of an original loading implement and a measurement element, allows one to determine the residual strength of the masonry for all or nearly all of its depth, in its various transverse sections.

|
