1372259 Reciprocating fertiliser spreader C BEZZECCHI 26 Oct 1971 [27 Oct 1970] 49791/71 Heading A1D A fertiliser spreading device includes a mechanism to produce reciprocation of its distributor arrangement; granular fertiliser from hopper 1 passes through a collector bowl, which is fixed to reciprocating shaft 5, to be discharged through spout 4 and a member 12 fixed to the shaft 5, terminates in a channel portion 12b which extends parallel to the shaft, a further shaft 16 rotatable by an external power source, such as a tractor power take-off terminates in a plate 15 having an eccentrically mounted spindle 14 carrying a roller 13 which engages in the channel 12b and, on rotation of shaft 16, pushes the member 12 from side to side, causing reciprocating motion of the shaft 5. A stirrer device 19, having projections 20, is also fixed to the shaft 5 and reciprocates within the hopper. The degree of overlap of holes in plates 7, 8 may be varied to control the discharge from the hopper. |
