Nematodes and other parasitic worm life in the soil are controlled by application of pyridonyl phosphates of the general formula WHEREIN R and R1 are each low molecular weight hydrocarbon radical. The preparation and physical properties of representative compounds of this class, and their application for the control of nematodes, are illustrated.
