PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to prepare a table in each page, form spaces in a table and specify the display order of data at the time of displaying/editing/ printing a document in a data base system. SOLUTION: A line number is added to each data to be stored in a data base and a data base management system initializes a page number to '1' (S1). Then the data of each page are retrieved based on relation among a line number, the number of lines in the page and a page number (S2) and a printing image is prepared/displayed in accordance with the data retrieval result of each page (S3). At the end of preparation of a printing image on a certain page, whether its retrieval result is for a final page or not is checked (S4), and when the current page is not the final page, '1' is added to the current page number and data retrieval is restarted (S5) j When the retrieval result is for the final page, the image prepared in the processing S3 is printed out (S6). |
