<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet the specifications for a large size ball and still to obtain an excellent flying performance of a small size ball, by making a golf ball forming projections on the spherical surface whose diameter is of specific value, not to pass through the inside diameter(ID) a ring gauge of specific value. SOLUTION: This golf ball is made to have the forms projected 2 on the surface of the 42.66mm diameter ball 1 that can not pass through a ring gauge of 42.67mm inside diameter(ID). For the projected forms 2, such projections 2 as a half-spherical form, a tip-rounded drill form (in particular, a circular conical form) or a truncated conical form (in particular, frusto-conical form); a small ring form projection whose inside is formed to a dimple or projected lines along the big circle of the ball 1; a projection formed around the dimple edges, if dimples were formed on the surface of the ball 1; and further, a projection formed so that its tip is projected out of the dimples into them made on the surface of the ball 1, can be listed. These can be formed singly or in any combination.</p> |
