摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the quality of a display picture from being degraded even in the case of the small size of an element by supplying such potentials as to make the change amount of a picture signal smaller which is to be supplied to first signal lines before supplying the picture signal to the first signal lines. SOLUTION: When the video signal of all whites (or all blacks) is supplied to an input terminal 1 and driving pulse signalsϕH1∼ϕHm are supplied to switching elements M1 -Mm , a horizontal blanking pulse HBLK is supplied to a reset terminal 5 and then the switching elements M1∼Mm are turned on. Consequently, potentials of respective lines L1∼Lm are recharged to a target voltage in the periods of respective horizontal blanking pulses HBLK and moreover the potentials are changed from the target voltage to the potential of the video signal. Thus, in the driving method of this liquid crystal display device, a signal to be changed in one pulse period of the pulse signalsϕH1∼ϕHm becomes a maximum of Vp and the change amount of the signal is made half that of a conventional device.
