摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of an electricity storage means by controlling a motor and a generator so that the state of the electricity storage means detected by a state detecting means may become a target state set by a target state setting means. SOLUTION: A device 10 is provided with an electronic control unit(ECU) 80 which coverts the power output from an engine 20 into electric energy by means of a generator 40 to charge a battery 60 and outputs the power to correspond to the stepping-on measurement of an accel pedal is stepped to a driving shaft 70 from a motor 50 using the electric energy stored in the battery 60. A CPU 80a of the ECU 80 receives a state SOC (the ratio of dischargeable capacity to total capacity) of the battery 60 and calculates a difference ΔS between the input state SOC and a target state SOC* and then compares the difference ΔS with a threshold L1 and a threshold H1 and, if the difference ΔS is smaller than the threshold L1 , determines that the battery 60 needs charging and starts the charging of the battery 60. If the difference ΔS is larger than the threshold H1 , the CPU 80a determines that the battery 60 needs no charging and then stops the charging of the battery 60. By this method, the state SOC of the battery can be controlled within a given range and therefore the size of the battery can be reduced.
