PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively remove a foreign matter such as paper dust adhered to the circumferential surface of a photoreceptor drum by pressing the foreign matter collecting brush to the circumferential surface of the photoreceptor drum by the compressing elastic force of an elastic holding member. SOLUTION: A foreign matter collecting means 44 has a foreign matter collecting brush 441 having substantially the same length as the axial length of a photoreceptor drum 42 and pressed onto the circumferential surface of the photoreceptor drum 42. The foreign matter collecting brush 441 is installed to a flexible conductive sheet member 442. The conductive street member 442 is installed to an earth member 444 through an elastic holding member 443. The pressing force of time foreign matter collecting brush 441 to the circumferential surface of the photoreceptor drum 42 can be provided by compressing the elastic holding member 443, it is not required to distort the foreign matter collecting brush 411 to provide the pressing force. Accordingly, the foreign matter collecting brush 441 can be formed with a small length, and the toughness of the foreign matter collecting brush 441 can be enhanced to improve the removing performance of paper dust and the like. |
