PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate variation of film thickness in a web width direction and improve film-forming quality of a coated material in an extrusion coater head. SOLUTION: A manifold 3, a slot 4 and a feeding passage 6 are arranged inside a head body 1. The manifold 3 is formed to have a tunnel-shaped section. The feeding passage 6 is provided on the front face of the head body 1 so as to communicate with the center part of the manifold 3. The relationship between the radius R of the arc-like wall of the manifold 3 and its width between the front and the rear is set 0.7<=B/2R<=0.8 based on experimental data. A flow guide face 9 is disposed between the manifold 3 and the slot 4 and its inclined angleθis set 10 deg.<=θ<=50 deg..
