PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the adhesion property between a substrate and an accepting layer for coloring agent and to prevent decrease in the yield for the production of a color filter by avoiding irradiation with light to give repelling property against a coloring agent in a non-picture display region but leaving the accepting property for a coloring agent in the non-picture display region. SOLUTION: A resin compsn. comprising a transparent material which has coloring property by permeation of an ink and can also show repelling property against a coloring agent by irradiation with light is applied on a glass substrate 51 to form an accepting layer 53 for a coloring agent (b). The accepting layer 53 for a coloring agent only in the part corresponding to a non-colored part 58 is irradiated and hardened with UV rays through a photomask 54 to form the noncolored part 58 between adjacent pixel lines 57 (c). In this case, the photomask 54 is also used to shield a nonpicture display region 11 from light so that the region 11 is not irradiated with UV rays. Therefore, the nonpicture display region 11 is not hardened with light and the accepting layer 53 for a coloring agent is maintained as the initial state which maintains permeability for an ink. |
