PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly expand an air bag in a small space between an occupant and a side wall of a car room. SOLUTION: A cylindrical or a baggy gas guiding part 6, whose opening part 5 located at whose end part is arranged in the vicinity of a tip end part within air bag 2 and which introduces the gas from an inflator 1 into the air bag tip end part 2a, is formed within the air bag 2. In addition, at a fixing part 7 of the air bag 2 is formed a retreating mechanism 13 which permits the movement of the fixing position of the air bag 2, which is produced by the reaction generated when the expanding space of the airbag is blocked, in the direction reverse to that in which the air gag 2 expands and by the prescribed distance. |
