PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new derivative, comprising an oligopeptide derivative containing a specific α,γ-diaminobutyric acid and useful as a carrier, etc., for transfecting a cell with a polynuleotide or other anionic macromolecules. SOLUTION: This new oligopeptide derivative is represented by the formula R'-NH-A (R' is a cell recognizing factor, a membrane permeating factor, a cell subcellular localization agent or a masking factor; A is an oligopeptide containing 1-200 amino acids except one amino group and at least one of the amino acids is converted into α,γ-diaminobutyric acid and the terminal carboxyl group of the oligopeptide is an amide, a lower alkylamide, a di-lower alkylamide or a hydrazide), contains the α,γ-diaminobutyric acid and is useful as a carrier for transfecting a cell with a polynucleotide or other anionic macromolecules for modulation of a gene, production of a recombinant protein, gene therapy, etc. |
