PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a map as navigation support means to the driver of a vehicle by providing a map moving means for moving a displayed map in an optional direction, and varying the moving quantity by this map moving means. SOLUTION: In a display state B, a map display M is changed by the movement of a vehicle, or changed by selecting a scale level by a driver. The display state B is automatically switched to a display state C when a navigation program under calculating the traveling distance of the vehicle judges that the vehicle is stopped. In the map display state C, the map display M can be moved vertically and laterally at a desired speed. The map displayed in this way can be moved in an optional direction with a desired moving quantity. Further, this moving quantity can be changed. Therefore, it can be moved at a low speed or high speed as occasion demands. |
