PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a route guide apparatus by which a route is selected according to the needs of a user about health by staring map information and information, which is required to control daily health, and searching the route. SOLUTION: The control part 10 of the portable route guide apparatus 100 controls various computing operations and devices. A pedometer 20, a DGPS device 22 and the like are connected to the control part 10. The pedometer 20 counts the number of steps when a user walks or runs by carrying the portable route guide apparatus 100. The DGPS device 22 receives radio waves from a global positioning system(GPS) so as to detect a present position. In addition, a heartbeat meter 30 is connected so as to obtain the number of heartbeats of the user. A map database 32a which stores road map information including the number of sidewalks, stairways and the like and health control database 32c which is required to control the health of an individual are contained in a database 32. The control part 10 is used in such a way that a destination is input by an input device 40, that a map and a present position are displayed on a display part, that earphones 46 are connected via a voice synthesizer 44 and that various instructions and guidance operations are output. |
