PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the image reader in which a burden of a worker is relieved and its job performance and productivity are improved, and to provide the adjustment device for a photoelectric conversion section provided for the image reader. SOLUTION: The image reader is provided with a frame section 1, on which a light source section and a photoelectric conversion section 3 are mounted and a board, that is mounted on the frame section 1 and to which a 1st harness connecting to a light source section 3 and used to supply power and a 2nd harness 4 connecting to the photoelectric conversion section 3 and used to transmit/receive signals are connected. While the board to which the 1st harness and the 2nd harness 4 are connected is mounted to the frame section 1, power from the adjustment device is supplied to the board and the board makes the transmission/reception of signals to/from the adjustment device.
