PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comfortable long-sized pillow having enhanced hygroscopicity, a bulging feel and moderate hardness by using polyester short fibers having a specific hygroscopicity parameter or above as a part of wadding. SOLUTION: The hygroscopicity parameterΔMR which is the driving force for obtaining comfortability by releasing the moisture between the wadding and the body to the outdoor air is defined as the difference obtd. by subtracting a moisture absorption rate at 20 deg.C×65% RH from the moisture absorption rate at 30 deg.C×90% RH and the polyester short fibers of >=2% in the hygroscopicity parameterΔMR are used as a part of the wadding. As a result, the long-sized pillow eliminates a moist feel and is comfortable when the pillow is held in one's arms. In addition, the pillow has a soft touch and has the bulging feel and the moderate hardness in combination. The long-sized pillow having the good feel to hold in one's arms is obtd.
