THERAPEUTIC AGENT FOR CONDYLOMA ACUMINATUM CONSISTING ESSENTIALLY OF TEA CATECHIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a therapeutic agent for condyloma acuminatum derived from human papillomavirus, excellent in safety, capable of providing treating effects by a simply method, comprising a natural substance contained in tea drunk in daily life as a main component. SOLUTION: This therapeutic agent comprises a tea catechin of formula I (R<1> is H or OH; R<2> is H or a group of formula II). (-)-Epicatechin gallate is preferable among tea catechins. The therapeutic agent can be used in the form of embrocation in creamy, jelly or milky liquid state and suppository in a capsulated state. Peptone is preferable as a base in the embrocation. The amount of the tea catechin formulated is 5-20wt.% and that of peptone is 5-20wt.% in the case of the embrocation and the amount of the tea catechin formulated is 100-500mg/capsule in the case of the suppository.
