PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated gate device which gets a favorable notice from a user, which contributes to social welfare and whose equipment cost is inexpensive. SOLUTION: In the device, a passenger reads stored data in a storage medium 7 inserted from insertion ports 81 and 82 provided on the upper face of a main body 2, the door 6 of a gate passage 3 divided by the main body 2 is automatically opened/closed based on the read result of storage data and the storage medium 7 inserted into the insertion ports 81 and 82 are transported to prescribed positions through the transportation path of a medium transportation mechanism 10. In such a case, the medium transportation mechanisms 10 which the user passing through the gate passage 3 can use are provided on the right/ left of the gate passage 3. |
