PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single component developing device which can simply reduce the sputter of toner from a gap formed between a developer carrier and an opening in a developing device casing directed to a latent image carrier. SOLUTION: Upstream about the toner transporting detection by a supply roller 2 more than the contacting part (n) of a developing roller 1 with the supply roller 2, a pressure bleeding path 8 is provided which extends in the longitudinal direction of the developing roller 1 and supply roller 2 and leads to outside a casing 7 upon penetrating the side wall of the casing 7. In a through hole provided in the casing 7 side wall a pressure bleeding filter is formed to bleed the pressure to outside the developing device and prevent the toner from flowing to outside the developing device. |
