摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent adhesion and sufficient flexing fatigue resistance by a method wherein a base for a belt is stretched in the direction of one axis and the tensile strength at a specified temperature and in a specified amount of change in the shape is made to be of a specified value. SOLUTION: A base for a belt constituted of copolymer polyamide resin of which the copolymerization composition is in a weight ratio of nylon 6/nylon 66=97/3-80/20 is stretched in the direction of one axis and the tensile strength in the atmosphere of 23 deg.C and in the amount of change in the shape of 5% is made 4-10kg/mm<2> . The percent of stretch is 2-6 times preferably and a stretching method or a rolling method is suitable for a method of stretch. In a flat belt 1 for which a nylon resin base 2 thus prepared is used, the nylon resin base 2 is made a core and the opposite surfaces thereof are covered with rubber layers 3 with an adhesive interlaid. The rubber layer 3 may be formed of either natural rubber or synthetic rubber. In order to improve the flexing fatigue resistance, an inorganic nucleator or/and metallic soap are added preferably to the copolymer polyamide resin of the nylon 6/the nylon 66.
