PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain a dispersion of fine powders, having high dispersion stability due to their surfaces adsorbed uniformly and firmly with a kind of colloidal particles by dispersing the fine powders in a solvent containing the colloidal particles. SOLUTION: This dispersion contains fine powders in a solvent, stabilized by the adsorption of polyurethane colloidal particles dispersed in the solvent. The dispersion is obtained preferably by mixing fine powders in a solvent containing colloidal particles, followed by grinding and dispersing them in a known dispersing or emulsifying machine such as a colloid mill or a roll mill. The colloidal particles consist of solvated parts and non-solvated parts, wherein the particle size of the non-solvated parts is preferably 0.01-1.0μm. Thus, various kinds of fine powders can be dispersed steadily and homogeneously in a medium without being influenced by the surface nature of the fine powders.
