PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain flux excellent in the easiness of handling and dispersibility at the time of blending carbon powder. SOLUTION: The densityρ(g/cc) of the flux for continuous casting is 8.190×10<-3> D-3.824×10<-3> L+0.516 to 3.265×10<-3> D-3.334×10<-3> L+1.173. Wherein, the carbon powder pulverizing carbon black green compact shown with D(nm) for an arithmetic average grain diameter with an electron micro-scope of the carbon black and L(ml/100g) for DBP oil absorbing quantity, is contended.
