PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain optical fiber connector parts which are formed by using a zirconia-alumina multi component oxide, have the good stability of the spherical shape of the tip end of a ferrule, i.e., obviate the deformation of the spherical surface shape even if being connected for a long term and have a high strength and high toughness excellent with respect to surface workability. SOLUTION: The connector parts for connecting the optical fibers has the ferrule having a fine hole to be inserted and held with the optical fibers. The ferrule is formed of the zirconia-alumina multi component oxide having 2 to 4mol% yttria content. A sleeve for connecting and holding the ferrule is formed of zirconia and/or the zirconia-alumina multi component oxide. |
