CONTAINER MADE OF POLYESTER/POLYCARBONATE RESIN COMPOSITION AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce the subject container, capable of simultaneously manifesting excellent impact and heat resistances and transparency by regulating the interparticle distance of dispersed polycarbonate within a specific range in the container made of an unoriented resin comprising a polyester and a polycarbonate. SOLUTION: This container is produced by carrying out the melt molding such as extrusion blow molding, drawing or injection molding of a resin composition consisting of (A) 60-97 pts.wt. polyester (e.g. the one consisting of terephthalic acid as an acid component and ethylene glycol as a diol component) and (B) 40-3 pts.wt. polycarbonate (e.g. the one comprising bisphenol A as a main dihydric phenol unit) and made of an unoriented A/B resin composition. The resin composition is prepared so as to provide a value ofτobtained from the formulaτd [π/(6Φ)]<1/3> -1} [(d) andΦare each the number-average particle diameter (μm) and the volume fraction of dispersed particles 1 (shown in the figure);τis a number-average value (μm) of the distance T between the dispersed particles 1] in the phase structure of the dispersed particles 1 consisting essentially of the component B in the matrix 2 consisting essentially of the component A.
