The present invention refers to a method to couple in series separable conditional access modules, as well as a circuit to insert a predetermined sequence, and a circuit to detect such sequences. Wherein each module comprises a data current passing therethrough, formed by fixed length packages separated by a fixed length gap, the method comprising filling the gap between packages (G1, G2, G3) with a constant predetermined sequence which does not interfere with the useful content of packages (P2, P3, P4), , this sequence being utilized to regenerate a package clock (RP), utilizing only this data current.
