An automatic method for obtaining air bubble inclusions inside a mass of glass comprises the stages of forming a semi-finished product provided with a concavity (9) on the external surface of its bottom, having a plurality of cavities (12) with a predetermined shape and arrangement. The concavity (9) is then filled with a fluid gob of glass (8) which does not fill the cavities (12) so that decorative bubbles are formed in them.
