The unit includes a current generator (2) and a storage unit which feeds a current storage unit (4) via a charging guard (3). The current storage unit is coupled to a switch (5) which acts together with a multichannel radio receiver (6). The radio receiver is controlled by a stationary transmitter or by a mobile transmitter (7). The switch couples the current storage unit to the motor (M) of a garage door drive of a desired garage.
