The drilling machine has one or more sliding and rotating tool spindles (8), with each spindle having at least two fixed positions on their travel. Each tool spindle has its surface hardened and ground and in the area over which it slides, it is mounted in needle bearings (12). Each tool spindle forms the inner ring of the needle bearing. The outer ring (13) of the bearing is directly mounted in the wall of the bore of the spindle housing (1).
