Front windscreen mounted braking indicator for motor vehicle

The additional brake lights are mounted behind the front windscreen and are directed forwards. The brake lights are not visible to the driver and therefore do not affect driving safety. The colour, intensity and spatial effect of the front brake lights are varied to indicate the intensity of the braking and/or the vehicle speed. The front brake lights can be in a chain which is progressively lit, from the centre outwards, as the braking intensity increases. The optimum position for the front brake lights is along the top edge of the windscreen. Similar, variable effect brake lights can be fitted to the rear of the vehicle.
