<p>PURPOSE:To simplify a guide means so as to reduce cost and space by providing a common guide means for guiding a distributing means and a stapler along a plurality of distributing bins. CONSTITUTION:Since a stapler 55 is so arranged as to move vertically in the same vertical moving space as a distributing means 14, a sorter can be reduced in size and is kept from projecting laterally across its width by the provision of the stapler 55. A stapler unit 30 and the distributing means 13 are made to move along a plurality of distributing bins 2 under guidance of a common guide rail 28. Therefore, the guide means for the stapler unit 30 and the distributing means 13 can be simplified. Moreover, since a guide member 3 movably provided on the distributing bin 2, separately from the unit and together with sheets, is moved in a position in which stapling can be performed to staple the sheets, a driving force can be reduced and the driving system can be reduced in size.</p> |
