<p>The saturation choke coil of the present invention may be used for controlling the DC voltage and/or current in power rectifiers. The present invention may also provide a substantial gain in the power coefficient as well as in the harmonic coefficient using a saturation choke coil with internal positive feedback. The saturation choke coil includes a magnetic conductor (1), a control winding (2), a operational winding (3) with a diode (4) serially connected thereto, a load (5) as well as a circuit which comprises a secondary winding (6) with a diode (7) serially connected thereto and which is connected in parallel to said load. The diode of the secondary winding is connected to the load in the same way as the diode of the operational winding, wherein said secondary and operational windings are connected together by their opposite poles.</p> |
