A garment comprises at least one flat piece of fabric which features several loops (16) on its edges. The loops (6) can be joined with similar loops on additional fabric edges or on other pieces of material. The joining is effected by drawing a loop (16) through the next loop on the other side and drawing this loop through a loop on the first side. The process is continued until the last loop (16) is secured with a knot at the end.
