FIELD: manufacture of building materials; applicable in manufacture of heat-insulating articles based on water glass in form of plates, crust, filling material which may be used in construction of buildings and structures of civil, industrial and agricultural applications, and also in industrial power engineering including atomic power plants. SUBSTANCE: the offered method includes blending of heated up to 80 C water glass in the amount of 75-90 wt.% with sodium chloride in the amount of 3-10 wt.%, then, with filler - burnt rock of 0.063-0.1-mm fraction in the amount of 7-15 wt.% with subsequent holding at 60-80 C for 30-90 min; molding of articles and heat treatment in superhigh frequency field and holding at 200-350 C for 1-2 min per centimeter of article thickness. In addition, after holding, the mixture is granulated and blended with foamed fraction vermiculite in the amount of 10-50 wt.% per 100 wt.% of mixture and dried at 70-85 C up to moisture content of 10-30 wt.%. The offered method provides for: density of material of 180-350 kg/cu. m; compression strength of 0.6-1.9 MPa; thermal conductivity of 0.055-0.85 W/mC; moisture resistance of 2.3-2.9%. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
