VISCOUS FLUID TYPE HEATER AND METHOD FOR CIRCULATING HEAT EXCHANGE FLUID

A viscous fluid type heater and a method for circulating heat exchange fluid in a heat exchange chamber of the heater. A rotor located in a heating chamber rotates to shear and heat viscous fluid, and the heat generated in the heating chamber is transferred to the heat exchange fluid. A first port is provided for introducing the heat exchange fluid into the heat exchange chamber. A second port is provided for draining the heat exchange fluid in the heat exchange chamber. An arc-like passage that connects the first port and the second port. The heat exchange fluid is introduced into the heat exchange chamber through the first port. Then, the heat exchange fluid flows through the passage, and is drained from second port, which is located at the same height or higher than the first port. Air packets are pushed out of the heat exchange chamber once the heat exchange fluid starts to flow, which improves the heat transfer efficiency.
