FIELD: transport engineering; transmissions and gearboxes. SUBSTANCE: automatic transmission has two-row planetary gear train whose carrier is coupled with turbine wheel of torque converter. Input member of planetary gear train is coupled with engine, output member of planetary gear train is coupled with pump wheel of torque converter and reactor of torque converter is coupled with spool of hydraulic system. Spool provides control over six clutches, cutting in one the clutches and cutting out five other clutches, depending on value of torque on transmission driven shaft. EFFECT: dispensing with manual gear-shifting at preservation of high efficiency of transmission. 3 dwg6
