To prevent the formation of harmful halogen-containing waste and to improve the productivity of a sulfide group-containing mercarptocarboxylic acid ester. A process for producing a sulfide group-containing mercarptocarboxylic acid ester, which comprises adding one of thiol groups of a dithiol compound to an acrylic acid ester derivative.
