The film shrouding for a medical instrument and appts., such as in a long and curved shape, matches the dimensions of the instrument inner surface with a centre strip section (12) and two side sections (8,9) shaped to match the curvature of the instrument. The side sections (8,9) are of straight film strips forming side edges to give, with the centre section (12), inner (10,11) and outer (12,13) edges, with the inner edges of the sides (8,9) welded to the centre section (12). Before welding, the inner edges (10,11) of the sides (8,9) are crimped with the outer edges of the centre section (12). |
