FIELD: application of thin-film metal coatings onto metal components; microelectronics; production of electrotechnical and light-reflecting articles; jewelry. SUBSTANCE: method uses as metallizing solution for deposition of coatings, solutions of metals salts, other than cyanates and cyanides, such as nitrates, halides, sulfates, acetates, oxalates in organic solvent. The latter is chemically compatible with metals salts and technically safe. Apart from above-mentioned metals, method may be also used for depositing gold, silver, platinum and palladium coatings.
