<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new fluorine compound useful for producing a fluorine polymer excellent in stability against hydrolysis under a neutral condition, capable of being used in a (non)aqueous polymerization system and excellent in adhesiveness, etc., to other materials by introducing a specific functional group to a fluorinesubstituted polymerizable unsaturated compound. SOLUTION: A compound of formula I [X is OCN (cyanate group) or 0-(CO)-NH2 (carbamate group); Rf is a 1-20C perfluoroalkyl or a 1-20C perfluoroalkoxy; (n) is 1-3], e.g., 9-cyanato-9, 9'-dihydroperfluoro(3, 6-dioxa-5- methyl-1-)nonen. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a compound of formula II with cyanogen chloride or cyanogen bromide in the presence of a base and, if needed, bringing the obtained compound to contact with an acid under heating for a sufficient time.</p> |
