THERMAL TRANSFER APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer apparatus for always printing in a high quality by printing a transfer surface on a transfer sheet, and then thermally transferring the surface to a material to be transferred and made of an optical recording medium. SOLUTION: The thermal transfer apparatus comprises a transfer roller 8 and transfer units 71 to 74 counterposed at an interval, a heater 10 for heating a surface of the roller 8, a tray 1 for mounting a material 2 to be transferred and made of an optically recording medium, and a transfer sheet 3 printed with the surface 11. The surface 11 is thermally transferred onto the material 2 by transferring the roller 8 and the units 71 to 74 while binging the sheet 3 into contact with the roller 8 in the state that the sheet 3 superposed with the surface 11 toward the material 2 side and the material 2 are mounted on the tray 1.
