PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously perform the multiple color printing at high speed. SOLUTION: An ink jet printer comprises a drum 10 that can rotate around an axis 10S at a constant circumferential speed and can hold a printing medium M at its circumference surface 11, a medium supplying means 90 that supplies the printing medium M to the side of the drum 10 at a speed corresponding to the circumferential speed of the drum 10, multiple color nozzle units 200 each having a plurality of ink jet nozzles 207 which are provided being shifted with each other in the rotating direction of the drum 10, a medium pealing means 140 that peals the printed medium M from the drum 10 and a medium discharging/conveying means 16 that discharges and conveys the pealed printing medium M at a speed corresponding to the circumferential speed of the drum 10. While the drum 10 is rotating, the multiple color nozzle units 200 are driven to perform color printing on the printing medium M which is supplied to and held by the drum 10, then it is pealed, discharged and conveyed toward a predetermined direction. |
