摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reutilize the waste silica sand mud discarded in a large amt. from silica sand mines as resources and materials by subjecting the waste mud to a solidification treatment by a water glass soln. for the purpose of effectively utilizing the waste mud. SOLUTION: The waste silica sand mud generally consists of ores, such as quartz, orthoclase, albite and montmorillonite. The solidification accelerator for such ores is preferably prepd. by compounding 25 pts.wt. blast furnace slag and 75 pts.wt. water glass soln. with 100 pts.wt. such waste mud and these materials are thoroughly agitated and mixed. The mixture is poured into forms. The mixture is solidified to allow releasing from the forms by air aging for one day at room temp. The solidified mixture is in succession subjected to air aging for 28 days at room temp. and is then immersed into water for 3 days at room temp. The mixture is then taken out of the water and is air dried for 7 days at room temp. Fly ashes are recommended to be mixed as a solidification stabilizer with the mixture in order to prevent the shrinkage and warpage of the mixture by drying.</p>
