PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dielectric porcelain compsn. capable of firing at <=1,000 deg.C and firing in combination with silver or its alloy and having a high dielectric constant. SOLUTION: A dielectric porcelain compsn. made of a solid soln. consisting essentially of lead nickel niobate [Pb(Ni1/3 Nb2/3 O3 ] and lead titanate (PbTiO3 ) is prepd. and an additive effective in accelerating the sintering of the compsn. and reducing the firing temp. is added to the compsn. The additive is at least one of manganese oxide and a pair of compds. capable of forming a compsn. consisting of Pb3 O4 , CuO and WO3 represented by the formula Pb(Cu1/2 W1/2 )O3 . |
