PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal container having the function to prevent oxidation, which is suitable in the case where the container body is relatively large and has a large capacity. SOLUTION: A metal container has a container body of metal having a substantially cylindrical drum body plate, a roof plate 2B having a mouthpiece 7, and a bottom plate, a plug member 3 which releasably closes the mouthpiece 7 provided on the roof plate 2B of the container body, and a deoxidizing agent- holding member 4 which is set on the inner side of the plug member 3, passed through the inside of the mouthpiece 7, and projected into the inside space 14 of the container body. On the container body the mouthpiece 7 rises from the roof plate 2B and has a screw thread 8 circumferentially. The plug member 3 has a screw thread 9 which fits on the mouthpiece 7. In a deoxidizing agent- holding member 4, a holding chamber 13 for a deoxidizing agent 20 is formed and a gaspermeable part 15 enables the oxygen in the inside space 14 of the container body to penetrate to the holding chamber 13. |
