<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brain stimulating lead for precisely applying electric stimulation to a high density brain target, and a method of optimally positioning the lead in the brain of a patient. SOLUTION: The terminal end part of a lead 30 is substantially cylindrical along the longitudinal direction thereof, and has several electrodes which are inclined, and arranged in a very short straight distance. Three electrodes 40, 41, 42 are positioned in the terminal end part, having a common angle of about 45deg. and extending around the lead body by an angle of about 180deg.
