<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow simple and effective toothbrushing and gingiva massaging by allowing a toothbrush to make more intimate contact with the tongue surfaces of teeth and the root of the palate face than toothbrushes of the prior art. SOLUTION: This brush is designed to change the angle between a head brushing plane 3 and bristles. A head is divided into two portions, i.e., an end portion 6 and a frontal portion 7, and the bristles at the end portion are held at an appropriate obtuse angle to the brushing plane. The angle between the bristles on the frontal portion and the brushing plane is 90 deg.. The brushing plane 3 at the end portion and the frontal portion is flattened. The main body of the head is curved by an appropriate angle at the junction 16 between the end portion and the frontal portion. Thus, when the entire toothbrush is seen, the head constitutes a sickle shape while the bristles at the head end constitute a spade shape pointed in the direction of the handle.</p> |
