PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder capable of recording in a serial recording mode wherein a recording head records by scanning on a second medium to be recorded at a low manufacturing cost, and in a line recording medium while a first medium to be recorded is pressure welded. SOLUTION: A recording head HD can records in a line recording mode by conveying a first medium to be recorded D1 in a fixed state. The recording head HD conveys reciprocally a second medium to be recorded in a main scan direction of the second medium to be recorded thereto, and can record in a serial recording mode. In that case, a stepping motor for conveying the second medium to be recorded is used for pressure weld and separation between the recording head HD and the first medium to be recorded D1 in the serial recording mode. |
